Love From Your Pastor

Hello Friends!

When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.  (Ps. 56:3)
That verse seems pretty self-explanatory!  It reminds me of a song I’ve been hearing on the radio lately that says, “Whom shall I fear?  I know who goes before me.  I know who stands behind.  The God of angel armies is always by my side.  The One who reigns forever, He is a friend of mine.  The God of angel armies is always by my side…”  Are you trusting today?
Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday at 7pm, we will have the Sunday Feelin’ concert at the church.  There will be a love offering received for Child Evangelism Fellowship.  Please come enjoy Southern and Country Gospel music with us!  And if you can, please bring some finger foods to share for a time of fellowship afterwards.
This Sunday we will continue our trek towards Easter with our sermon series on “Jesus’ Last Week”.  The subject this week is the teaching at the Mt. of Olives, from Matthew 24:1-31.  There is a lot of debate and many various approaches to understanding Matthew 24.  I don’t necessarily intend to solve all of the mysteries and every debatable issue about prophecy in this message.  The main purpose of our study will be to consider the events preceding Christ’s return and the importance of being ready for Him.  Please read the passage prayerfully, and come ready to hear from Him.  Most importantly, be ready for His return!

Our team in Haiti seems to be doing very well, and they will be wrapping up their time there this weekend.  Please pray for continued strength and a safe return.
We will have a baptism service this Sunday, and a membership class next Sunday, March 23.  Let me know if you’d like to participate in the class!
“Gettin’ Ready…”
Love From Your Pastor,
Michael
