Hi Friends,
Thank you to all who have been praying for Caleb’s recovery from hernia surgery. The doctor seemed pleased with the result. Caleb is pretty sore, but getting better each day. We appreciate all the prayers and concern!
Also, before I forget, let me remind you about the All Church Game Night tomorrow, Friday, from 6 – 9pm in the fellowship hall. Bring a friend; bring a game; and bring a snack to share! The purpose of the evening is to have a good time together, get to know a few people better, and develop relationships outside of the usual quick hello’s we say on Sundays.
Members, following the worship service there will be a brief meeting to vote on the allocation of funds for the building of the Christian Education classroom wing! Please be prepared to stay for a few minutes.
This Sunday I will be sharing the first of three messages on “EQUIP”. We will be looking at 2 Timothy 3:10-17, and learning how Scripture equips us for the good work God has for us to do. Please read that before Sunday. And for all who are using the Daily Bible Reading Calendar – stick with it! If you’ve fallen behind a little, don’t give up. Either take some extra time to “catch up,” or, I hereby give you permissions to skip ahead to today’s reading! The point is to keep us in the Word daily. Let me encourage all of you – whatever reading plan you may use, to continue spending time in the Bible every day.
Thank you for continuing to give attention to how you prepare for worship on Sunday. Our enemy will not be pleased with this, so we will need to amp up our prayer lives to protect against his attacks! And remember, the Word of God is “the Sword of the Spirit.” Use your weapon!
Don’t forget the Feb. 3 POTLUCK, which will be a “send-off” to those going on short term missions soon.
