Love From Your Pastor

Hi Friends,

For the LORD is righteous; He loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold His face. (Psalm 11:7)
The righteousness of God would be a great thing for us to meditate on regularly!  There is no injustice with God.  Living in such an unjust world, it is wonderful to know there is a God who is just.  There will be a time when all that is wrong will be made right.  Imagine the time when the “upright”, which I believe are all those who are saved and transformed by the grace of God through Jesus Christ, will see His face!  One day we shall behold Him!  Face to face!
“KINGDOM ROCK” Vacation Bible School has been going great so far!  Thank you so much to Sonja Rogers for directing, and for all of you for helping, giving, and praying.  Our high attendance was yesterday with 62.  Tonight the children will be given a chance to respond to the gospel message.  Please be in prayer for all of the kids and their families.
It is exciting to see the framing of our classroom addition going up this week!  Please continue praying for this project, for those working on it, and for its timely completion.  Stop by and see the progress being made.

I am planning a Membership Class for anyone interested in joining the church, on Sunday, July 21, from 12-3pm (lunch provided).  If you are interested, either reply to this email, give me a call, write it on your Welcome Card on Sunday, or talk to me personally.
The message Sunday will be from Galatians 5:16-26.  Some of the passage is very familiar, especially the section on the Fruit of the Spirit.  I love fruit!  Summertime is especially a great time for delicious fruit – berries, peaches, pears…  But how much more does God love it when His children bear Spiritual fruit!  Along with the list of the fruit of the Spirit, this passage also contains a list of “deeds of the flesh.”  Both lists are very instructive for us.  Read the passage and ask God to be helping you WALK in the Spirit so you can bear good fruit!
Also, this Sunday is another memory verse for us to say together:
For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. (Galatians 5:17)
Looking forward to two more great days of VBS, a super men’s breakfast on Saturday, and a wonderful time of worship and teaching on Sunday!
Love From Your Pastor,
Michael
