Hi Friends!
And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” — Revelation 19:9
It’s always nice to get invited for supper! Especially a marriage supper. They are often outstanding meals along with terrific joy and fellowship. Imagine what the marriage supper of the Lamb will be like!!! Believers in Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God slain for us, will be invited. Talk about “Blessed”!!!
Thank you to everyone who has taken tags for VBS supplies we need donated! Don’t forget to bring the items back! You can bring them this Sunday or next (July 7). There are still more tags on the bulletin boards in the church foyer, so please take one (or 2 or 3) if you haven’t yet. VBS is only 11 days away (but don’t panic). Please be in prayer for it, that God would use it powerfully in the lives of children and their families. Please be inviting friends, relatives, neighbors, etc. (your oikos). There are some flyers on the VBS table for you to use to give to people you are inviting.
This Sunday I will be speaking on “Children of the Free” from Galatians 4:21-31. Along with reading that, you may want to review Genesis 16-17 and 21, which is the background for Paul’s discussion of Ishmael & Isaac, Hagar & Sarah.
