Hi FBC!
For You are my lamp, O LORD, and my God lightens my darkness.
(2 Samuel 22:29)
David expresses a beautiful thought here – even when we live in the midst of darkness, there is One who lights the way for us! His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Jesus is the Light of the world. Have you ever tried walking through your house in the dark? It can be painful! Without keeping your focus on God, it’s easy to stumble around in the dark of this world. Look to Him to be your light every day!
This Sunday we will jump into the first chapter of Colossians in our current sermon series. Please prayerfully read Col. 1:3-8 in preparation. It is a great statement from Paul about how he prays always with thankfulness for the believers in Colossae. This week I was reminded of just how thankful I am for you, the Christ-followers of FBC Brownsville! And I was challenged again to faithfully pray for you.
Come Sunday and hear why Paul was so thankful for them, and why I am so thankful for you!
Thank you also for praying for Pastor Justin and Lynsey during their time at the D6 Family Ministry Conference in Louisville! Things seem to have improved since a rocky start to the trip! Pray for a better trip home tomorrow.
